Software Engineer

About the Role

Uncharted Network is a platform for real investors managing real capital — and the software engineers who build it own the entire vertical. You will work across the investor portal, on-chain settlement layer, internal trading tooling, and the APIs that connect them. There are no committee-approved designs here: if you see a better way to build something, build it. Our stack is modern, our deployments are frequent, and every line of code you ship has a direct line to investor trust.

Responsibilities

• Design and build full-stack features across the investor dashboard, wallet integration layer, and public platform surfaces
• Implement on-chain settlement monitoring, balance reconciliation, and transaction indexing pipelines
• Own RESTful and GraphQL API design, versioning, and security hardening for investor-facing services
• Maintain and evolve our Supabase/PostgreSQL schema, RLS policies, and background job infrastructure
• Collaborate with traders and researchers to build internal tooling that improves execution and analysis workflows
• Participate in code review, on-call rotations, and post-mortem write-ups

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience with a strong track record of shipping production systems
• Proficiency in TypeScript and at least one system-level language (Rust or Go preferred)
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL including schema design, query optimisation, and row-level security
• Familiarity with Next.js, server actions, API routes, and edge runtime patterns
• Working knowledge of Web3 tooling: Viem, Ethers.js, Wagmi, or equivalent
• Ability to produce robust, well-tested production software with clear documentation

Nice to Have

• Experience with real-time systems: WebSockets, server-sent events, or event-driven architectures
• Knowledge of Solidity or EVM internals at the contract interaction level
• Prior experience building financial, investment management, or custody software
